For thought...

Accordingly, we will not enjoy development without security, we will not enjoy security without development, and we will not enjoy either without respect for human rights. Unless all these causes are advanced, none will succeed.

Sound, legal, ethical and proportionate policing has an essential part to play in the well being of a democratic society. Police officers are not only required to respect the human rights of people they deal with during the course of their ordinary duty, they also have a critical part to play in protecting the rights of all citizens. Good policing contributes to an orderly and peaceful society.

If you are involved in, or with, policing I may be of assistance to you by providing advisory, consultancy or educational services.

I am a former long serving senior British police officer with extensive experience. I am also qualified in International Human Rights Law and have wide experience of working with overseas police forces in many countries.
